Getting around

How to reach us and move around Florence.

✈️ From the airports

Florence (FLR): Tram T2 to the city centre (Unità stop), every ~5 min, ~20 min ride. Tickets at the stop machines.
Pisa (PSA): PisaMover shuttle to Pisa Centrale, then train to Firenze S.M.N. (~1h).
Bologna (BLQ): Marconi Express to Bologna Centrale, then high-speed train (~35 min).

🚕 Taxi

Official white taxis only. Call 055 4242 or 055 4390, or use the IT Taxi / appTaxi apps. From the airport to the centre: fixed fare ~€25 (surcharges at night/holidays).

🚌 Public transport

Trams and buses run by Autolinee Toscane. Buy tickets via the at bus app, tobacconists, or contactless card on board the tram. The historic centre is best on foot — most sights are within 20 minutes' walk.

🚗 Parking & ZTL

Important: the centre is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) with camera fines. If you arrive by car, use a garage outside the ZTL (e.g. Parterre, Beccaria) — ask us and we'll advise the closest one to your apartment.

🆘 Emergencies

European emergency number: 112 (police, ambulance, fire). Non-emergency medical advice for tourists: Tourist Medical Service, Via Lorenzo il Magnifico 59, +39 055 475 411. Pharmacies open 24/7 at S.M. Novella station.

🧺 Laundry

Self-service laundries near every apartment — ask us for the closest one. Typical cost €4–6 per wash, open 7:00–22:30.

Rules & City Tax

The two things Italian law asks of every guest — we make them easy.

🛂 ID registration (required by law)

Italian law (art. 109 TULPS) requires hosts to register every guest's ID/passport with the State Police within 24 hours of arrival. At check-in we'll ask to see a valid ID or passport for each guest, including children. It takes a minute and it's mandatory — thank you for having them ready.

💶 Tourist tax (tassa di soggiorno)

The City of Florence applies a tourist tax per person, per night, for up to 7 consecutive nights. The exact amount for your apartment is stated in your booking confirmation. Children under 12 are exempt. The tax is collected during your stay unless already paid through the booking platform.

🏠 House rules

No parties or events; quiet hours 22:00–8:00 (city regulation).
No smoking inside the apartments.
Please separate waste — instructions in your Guest Area.
Check-out by 10:30 unless agreed otherwise.
